Tree Of Life

Artist Rosy Long

25cm x 30cm Clay

When I met Dee and Louise, I admired their honesty and courage. They wanted to tell their story – to cry together and to face everything just as it is with no frills. I noticed that they have, through their struggle gained wisdom – an ability to enjoy each moment as it is now - a form of mindfulness. I wanted to show this through a Tree of Life. I visualised them sitting under the tree which is scarred like they are, learning through their scars and illness about life.
