Like the leaves on a tree we are all part of life, each of us a unique story exposed daily to the forces of nature yet with a connection to a source of nourishment even if it may not always feel that way. As humans we have a unique ability to share and connect in so many ways.
This concept was inspired by listening to and reading the stories and poems of people affected by breast cancer, their experiences, feelings, pain, hope, dreams, sense of recovery, their journey.
The Tree of Life is about actively connecting with their words. It is about the engaging in the ‘What can I do?’ as Dee says in one of her poems. Even the littlest gesture can make a difference; it is its presence that matters and grows a connection.
