Pathology images

With consent, I was able to approach the Radiology and Pathology departments at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in order to gain access to scans and slides. It was fascinating to hear about, and see first-hand the clinical methods for diagnosis. Pathology and Radiology staff have been very supportive in allowing me to photograph some of the process and in explaining the procedures. My aim was to create art work that is informative, that helps to explain what happens while we are waiting, as well as produce art work that explores the clinical environment with the emotional experience of the person caught up in the process.
